Function of Beauty

I’ve eluded to the dramas of maintaining a healthy and frizzy coif in a previous post. Unfortunately, nothing has changed and I’m still hitching rides on the struggle bus in order to keep my crowning glory somewhat presentable. Lucky for me, I’ve found a product that has helped to alleviate some of the stresses of my tresses. I was perusing ye ol’ internet for a new pair of fishnets and happened upon a brightly colored ad for customized shampoo and conditioner. I’m a very skeptical individual and I was poised to write this off as a scam or weird insta-fame campaign. But, alas! I entered the website and was pleasantly surprised! Mostly because I’m a sucker for cute color palettes and hair quizzes.

Functionofbeauty.com starts you off with a quiz regarding your hair texture, hair goals and the personalization of scent. Once you’ve finished the quiz, you are able to choose the bottle size and even name the shampoo after yourself, if you’d like. Each bottle is shipped in personalized packaging with instructions (to reflect the hair care regimen you’ve chosen)  to help usher your hair into it’s most healthy state. The site even offers different sized bottles for those of us that require waaaaay more conditioner than shampoo. Aaaaaaand, most importantly, their product is cruelty free, paraben free, sulfate and toxin free!

I’ve been using my customized shampoo and conditioner for 3 weeks now and my hair is definitely shedding less, my split ends are repaired and it has a really lovely sheen. Plus, I opted for the essential oils scent and I can smell my hair with the slightest movement! It’s a bit more expensive than the average shampoo and conditioner, but I definitely recommend “wearing” Function of Beauty (or washing, rinsing and repeating).
